How much time you spend on Tahiti depends on the schedule of the airlines and the needs of your Tahiti honeymoon. Usually the main island is the jumping off point for your Tahiti honeymoon. You will land in Pappeete and take either a flight or ferry to your next island for your Tahiti honeymoon.

Some islands only have one flight per day from Papeete. This may require you to spend a whole day or overnight on the island of Tahiti. If you were traveling to Bora Bora, Manihi, Tikehau or Rangiroa you may have to spend the day on Tahiti. Most of the flights to these islands depart Papeete in the afternoon.
