Raiatea shares its lagoon with Taha'a. Those traveling to this island will start from the airport located on Raiatea and catch a boat over to Taha'a. The Vanilla Island is just a few minutes away. It has retained it’s seductiveness of old time Polynesia. The island is one huge painted fragrant garden of vanilla, a precious orchid.
