Overwater Bungalow

There is nothing more romantic than an overwater bungalow on any of the beautiful islands of Tahiti. There is an overwater bungalow offered on every island. But not every overwater bungalow is the same. Some boast a window in the floor to view fish life while other overwater bungalows will have a viewing window in the coffee table.

The location of your romantic overwater bungalow is important. A deep overwater bungalow would be located at the very end of the pontoon. A pontoon is the wooden walk over the water that connects the overwater bungalows to the beach. A shallow overwater bungalow will be closer to the shore. Some vacationers like their overwater bungalows to be distant from the beach to have a more remote, calming, quiet experience. Others prefer their overwater bungalows to be located closer to the beach so as to have the resort amenities more convenient.

Each island and resort offers a diverse experience in their romantic overwater bungalows. Some newer resorts may not have the coral growing below the bungalows that attract the fish life. Other resorts have started a coral reef to attract numerous fish under their honeymoon bungalow.

The more remote islands of Manihi and Tikehau offer travelers a honeymoon bungalow that may be at the edge of the lagoon where the reef grows. Countless colorful fish find the food they need to survive in the reef. Therefore, the bungalow on these islands may have more fish activity than any other island.

Typically the overwater bungalows looks similar to any of the beach bungalows. It is the location of the bungalow that will make the greatest difference to the feel of your Tahiti honeymoon or honeymoon bungalows.
