The Moorea Pearl Beach Resort was built in the traditional Polynesian style. It boosts a combination of hotel rooms, garden bungalows, beach bungalows and overwater bungalows. The resort offers a complimentary shuttle to most Restaurants.  Venture out to lunch or dinner. There is a grocery store within walking distance to pick up some goodies such as bread and cheese. Next door is a liquor store.There is also a patisserie where you can buy fresh crescents and coffee for about $12 USD.  

There is a very small beach at the hotel with a nice pool area near the restaurant. Chairs are hard to get a peak times but the pool is comfortably warm. The overwater bungalows obstruct a full view of the open water from the pool. There is more beach in front of the beach bungalows which will offer an unobstructed view of the ocean.

Although most honeymooners will want the over water bungalow or deluxe garden bungalow with private plunge pool, the resort also offers hotel rooms. Hotel rooms are furnished with dark tek wood beds, writing desk, couch and mini bar. The bathrooms are large with a spacious shower. Ground floor rooms are surrounded with garden flora and fauna. Family rooms are also available.

A favorite category is the deluxe garden bungalow with private plunge pool. Each rooms has a king size bed with large vaulted ceilings. An additonal day bed is included in the room. The unique outdoor plunge pool make this a honeymoon favorite. Surrounded by a privacy fence and foliage this 4 foot deep pool is just what you need to cool off at the end of your day.

There are two categories of beach bungalows called the Beach Bungalow and Deluxe Beach Bungalow. The beach bungalows are near the pool and restaurant area with some overwater bungalows obstructing the view. The Deluxe Beach Bungalows are right on the beach with an unobstructed view of the ocean.

There is also two categories of overwater bungalows with the deluxe overwater bungalow being farther out from the shore.

The activities desk near the pool offers plenty of complimentary non motorized water sports.

Renting a car for one or two days gives you the chance to see the island. There is a car rental that is very reliable right across the street from the property called Albert’s. Albert practically owns the island and everyone seems to be related to him!
