This property is the largest on the Moorea island. On the grounds are the Aquatica Dive Center, Lagoonarium, private beach, two pools, tennis courts and 12 hectares (30 acres) of gardens. InterContinental Moorea Resort & Spa will start construction of a magnificient new pool and upgrading all the bungalow, start date November 21 st 2009 to be completed by end of June 2010.
The new infinity pool is being constructed at the top of the main beach. It will be 360 Sqm with a swim up bar.
All ourbungalows will be renovated with a terrace extension.
Part of the lagoon at the Intercontinental Resort Moorea is home to the Moorea Dolphin Center. They have created a natural home for four bottlenose dolphins that are lovingly cared for by a scientificand veterinary team. They offer several Dolphin experiences but most honeymooners would enjoy the Special Romance program. This one hour swim with the Dolphins program has a maximum of 4 people. A Free coconut drink, one printed photo chosen by the Dolphins for you, and two scented flower crowns are part of this amazing experience. You will enjoy the softness of their skin, their craving for strokes and kisses, their playfulness and all of their charming assets.
The resort has two restaurants along with the amazing Helene Spa. The spa is tucked away in a private area of the grounds. It has been rated one of the best spas in the world by Marie-Claire, Elle, Figoro Magazine and Great Spa Escapes magazine. Native flower are picked daily for the fresh baths. Tropical fruits are crushed and grated for each treatment to keep their potency. Only the finest fresh coconut oil is used with pure spring water captured from the volcanic heights of the island.
The Panorama room has a window between the bathroom and the bedroom so you can enjoy a view of the ocean while soaking in a large tub. The king size bed is at a diagonal so you have an unobstructed view of the ocean.
There are also overwater motu bungalows and overwater lagoon bungalow. Be sure you make your reservations in the correct overwater bungalow. The motu bungalows will be overwater in the front but on the ground in the back.
Use of the transit room is free if you are staying at an Intercontinental on any other island. Ambassador members are guaranteed a late check out and upgrade to the next room category.
